Cultivating Obedience, Ministering Mercy, Internalizing Truth
Welcome Letter
“For you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace” (Isaiah 55:12).
How very wonderful is our God, that the great power to see His fruit in the lives of those we love, and in our own life, always lies in the small and gentle truths of trust, peace, and joy. How marvelous that His victory is through love ad joy, rather than through our own brilliance or strength. How kind of Him to have called us to relationship rather than to heroics, to peace rather than to prowess, to joy above determination.
And then He comes to us and is willing to fill each of us with His love, His peace, His joy, that we might genuinely prevail in each challenge before us. We may confidently believe that God will perfect that which concerns each of us.
Each of us comes to this conference with individual needs. God has seen our failures. He has loved us through all of our immaturity, just as He has smiled as we have grown. This week, He desires to continue the work of His hands.
Please, take a moment alone with God. Abandon yourself to Him. Forget the pressures of arriving on time, or leaving a multitude of babies behind.
Remember again, that apart from Him, we can do nothing. As the work of His hands, ask Him to perfect the fullness of your heart toward Him. Ask Him to prepare your heart, for He is among us, and it is time to seek His face.
We welcome you. Please let us know how we can better serve you. For all of the sacrifices you have made to be here, we thank you. Our prayers and our hearts are with you.
May God be glorified, and may eternity rejoice in the fruit of this week.
In the love of God,
