The Northwoods Conference Center is a beautiful place where many have found refreshment in the quiet of God’s creation and have made life-changing decisions to follow God in wholehearted surrender.

The tour of the Northwoods property was a great time to soak in the sunshine and fresh air—and become acquainted with a new friend.

Bill Gothard led the tour and shared stories of God’s provision for the conference center, recalling the special place that it has been for him through the years.

Along the bumpy ride and tour of the grounds, there were lots of laughs, picture-perfect poses, and moments for old friends to catch up with each other.

A number of dynamic speakers shared at the Summit, including Larry Guthrie. His sessions were highlighted with memorable object lessons and humorous true-life stories.

The theme of the summit, “Life in the Fast Lane” provided insights into life choices and the need to set life’s course straight.

Guest speaker Max Helton’s humor, openness, and obvious love for the Lord ignited his messages on the Book of Philippians. He also offered valuable insights into one-on-one relational evangelism in today’s culture.

The semi-formal dinner on Friday evening provided a great time of fellowship in an elegant setting. Throughout the week, the Summit staff members devoted long hours to make the weekend a success! Each day delicious meals, festive decorations, and countless special touches gave the attendees a warm welcome and relaxing time.

Theme dinners offered the opportunity to dress up and have a light-hearted time with friends. The western-theme dinner brought out an assortment of hats, bandannas, cap guns, and more!

The men met for an early morning time of reflection and devotion before the Wrangler’s Breakfast by the lakeside.

Throughout an unusually warm weekend, attendees enjoyed the vibrant fall colors of the Northwoods.

The curving, paved roads throughout the conference grounds made an inviting track for an afternoon bike ride.

Saturday’s traditional volleyball tournament culminated in a tough match in the sand court by the lake.

The Summit is a special time for friends to catch up, recall memories, and experience another time of seeking the Lord together.
