Far Above Rubies

studies in Proverbs 31 for mothers and daughters

Curriculum Overview

The Far Above Rubies curriculum encourages daughters to grow in maturity after the pattern of Jesus Christ, who “increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Each booklet contains studies in four areas:

Wisdom
This section presents Biblical truth and gives insights on how the principles of design, authority, responsibility, ownership, suffering, forgiveness, moral freedom, and success apply to our lives.
Stature
This section highlights instruction in practical skills and helpful information for everyday life.
Favor With God
This section includes studies on character qualities such as virtue, truthfulness, gratefulness, and love as demonstrated in the stories of Scripture and the biographies of heroines of the faith such as Gladys Aylward, Abigail Adams, and Corrie ten Boom.
Favor With Man
This section features the history behind great hymns of the faith, and it provides opportunities to apply character and skills in activities like crossword puzzles, dot-to-dots, and mathematic and word games.

Schedule

You may design your own schedule for working through the Far Above Rubies curriculum, and we welcome you to set a pace that is best for your daughter’s interests and abilities.

The curriculum was written with girls ages 8–15 in mind, and if you begin working through the booklets when your daughter is 8 and complete 3 booklets per year, your daughter will complete the series when she is 15. While we recommend this schedule, there are countless ways to successfully work through the curriculum.
