Foundations of Interior Design (discontinued)

combining creativity with critical thinking

The original FOID course laid a foundation for design knowledge built upon God’s Word, while exalting Christ as the true Source of all beauty. During a one-week course at the Dallas Ministry Center, experienced professionals taught students in many areas, including principles and elements of design, color, lighting, basic sketching, space planning, home organization, drapery design, and interior spaces. The attendees were also instructed in the basics of architectural history, business management, and professional etiquette. Students were challenged to make a positive impact in the design arena—to shape the culture of their world, rather than be influenced by it. Elements of this course are still taught in the FOID Lite course.
