A: Opportunities are available for learning by staying on at the International ALERT Academy and working with our Landscape Department for a period of time.

Q: What type of work pants should I bring?

A: The pant material needs to be durable and suitable for outdoor work. To help maintain a professional appearance, we ask that no “blue jeans” be worn, but other-colored denim material is acceptable.

Q: How much spending money do I need to bring?

A: You will not need any money for items in the course, but you may want to bring some money to spend at our two stores. Our bookstore sells gifts for the whole family, as well as snacks, and the Eagle Response Outfitters (ERO) store carries a selection of equipment for camping, hiking, rappelling, SCUBA diving, and more.

Q: Are some of the items on the packing list available at ALERT?

A: We offer a variety of products at ALERT; some of which may be purchased ahead of time and held for arrival (i.e., BDUs, sleeping bag, etc.). Visit shopalert.us to see our selection of items, or call the ERO store at 903-636-2000.
