Preparation and Travel

Q: Should I apply to coach at BuildcomOffsite Link or to work with hospitality or construction?

A: When you apply, explain your training and aptitudes to the staff members. They will consider your skills and the Training Centre’s needs when they assign your initial responsibilities. As the number of students changes, your role could also change!

Q: Who makes my travel arrangements?

A: The travel coordinator at IBLP Headquarters is willing to find flights for you. If you prefer, you can book your own ticket. Either way, you are responsible for the payment of your ticket and visa before you leave. Tickets usually cost around $1,600–$1,900.

Q: Do I need a visa for traveling to New Zealand?

A: Unless you need to leave immediately, or will be in New Zealand for under three months, you will need to file for a workers’ visa. A visa costs approximately $90.

Q: May I bring a musical instrument?

A: Though your musical instrument may count as a piece of luggage (depending on its size), it can be very nice to take to church, meetings, and ATI Training Conferences.
