New Zealand Ministry

coaching troubled youth in another land

Letter from the Director

Dear Potential Missionary to New Zealand,
New Zealand sheep

During the mid 1990s, the Lord quickened the Scripture that there was “a wide and effectual door” opening to the ministry in New Zealand and that which “no man could shut.” In the three years that we have had a Training Centre, He has sovereignly opened a door to minister to 11- to 16-year-old alienated youth by helping them develop Godly character, disciplines, and good work ethics. He has also given us favor with government authorities. Having recently purchased an additional 25 acres of land adjacent to Arahina Training Centre, we have embarked on a plan to transform this wasteland area into a beautiful lake and park with a new lodge and workshop to facilitate our activities.

New Zealand is a very secular nation, thus approximately 95% of the population need to heed the truth of God’s Word. We have a vast need for laborers to help turn our nation back to righteousness—laborers who can act as coaches and teachers, laborers who have building and trade skills, laborers who can work to extend hospitality, to attend to housekeeping and administration, and to minister to the poor and needy. Our vision is to reach New Zealand for Christ through these opportunities. We have a vision to extend our work with alienated youth, to touch and minister to the orphans and to widows, not only where the Training Centre is situated, but throughout the whole nation.

Sincerely,
Kerry Brown
Director, Arahina Training Centre
