Taiwan Ministry

opportunities to share God’s truth

Since Taiwan’s first Basic Seminar in 1993, the Lord has granted opportunties for ATI students to minister to the Chinese people. The students’ testimony at the seminar and in school visitations caught the attention of government officials, as well as the media. Their faithfulness has opened two distinct avenues of ministry in Taiwan today.

Teaching English

The universal language of communication internationally is English. When trained and dedicated young people take advantage of this opportunity, changed lives result. Asian governments and school districts are anxious to attract dynamic, loving young people to teach English in their schools. The result is an unprecedented chance to disciple.

This is an all expense paid position that provides entrance into the center of a community as a respected teacher. The schools not only provide accommodations, food, transportation, but also a gracious stipend for the qualified young man or woman. Opportunities for 3 months to 11 months in Taiwan or China are available.

For the right person, one school district has even offered to pay for 80% of the tuition for a college education. These opportunities begin in August 2011.

Children’s Institute

Taiwan Children’s Institute Teachers and Staff

For those who want a “taste” of ministry in Asia, the short-term Taiwan Children’s Institute trip may be just the thing. You will have the opportunity to minister to both children and local assistants, who will serve as interpreters. Find out more about International Children’s Institutes.

“The relationships we were able to develop with the people were really the highlight of the trip. There were so many special people that we were able to minister to and be ministered to by them. Everything from giving us rides, to serving us very strange Taiwanese dishes, our friends made us feel at home and welcome. It was so amazing how open they were to the Gospel.

“The trip as a whole was extremely stretching—a time of amazing spiritual growth and strengthening. I know that I speak for my whole team when I say that God was faithful to each one of us, to give us the strength and wisdom that we needed so many different times. We are indeed very grateful to Him for all that He did through us and in us during the course of our trip.” —Andrew Fear, Chaiyi Team Leader, 2003
